Innovation in Language Learning

Dr Donovan Lawrence is a senior lecturer in the Afrikaans department of the University of Johannesburg in South Africa where he lectures on undergraduate and postgraduate level and supervises Masters and Doctoral students. He holds a PhD specialising in Computer Assisted Language Learning and has a keen interest in Language Methodology and in particular the use of Information and Communication Technologies for the development of language skills in Afrikaans. He co-authored the book "Afrikaansmetodiek deur ‘n nuwe bril" (Afrikaans methodology through a new lens) that was recently published by Oxford University Press. He delivered papers at various local and international conferences and published in accredited journals.
