Masha Etkind

Masha Etkind is professor in the Department of Architectural Science at Ryerson University. She teaches design, theory and history of Western architecture. Her recent research focuses on conservation of cultural heritage of built form, on language and roots of living architecture in different cultures, and on instruction for deep comprehension of conceptual content in architectural education. Etkind received a professional degree in architecture from St. Petersburg University of Architecture and Engineering, and Masters in Architecture from the University of Toronto. Etkind is a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
