He graduated in English at Cambridge University and completed his M.A. and DPhil studies at the University of Ulster.
He has been living and working in Italy for 27 years and teaches English and Translation at the University of Calabria in a number of degree courses including Law, Tourism, Business Administration, Modern Languages and Language Mediation
His research interests regard literary translation, discourse analysis, language and power with specific regard to the law, and e-learning and digital platforms with specific reference to the development of course materials and learning objects for English.
