Solid Waste Management by Student’s participatory: A case study of Anubanwatpichaisongkram School, Thailand.

Abstract
The objectives of the solid waste management in school by student participatory; a case study of Anubanwatpichaisongkram shool were 1) to study kind and quantity of solid waste 2) to analyze impact of solid waste on school and 3) to create solid waste management guideline for school. The samples of this study were the 120 students in grade 5 by purposive sampling method. This study used questionnaires and focus group as tools for collecting data. The results were analyzed by percentage and average. The results showed that, there were 2 kinds of solid waste including general solid waste and food waste and theirs total average weight was 264.6 kilograms/ day. The outstanding point source of solid waste was classroom (39%) and there were 2 guidelines for solid waste management in school including reducing all of solid waste and adding solid waste values. The activities for supporting this guideline were 4; organized the campaign for screening solid waste before leave into the right bin, contested the solid waste invention in school, gathering plastic bottle and used paper for sale, and collecting food waste for animal feed.
