Innovation in the Learning Process of Computer Law

Abstract

E-learning is a broad field of possibilities for acquiring knowledge in education through modern information and communication technologies (ICT). E-learning area is quite extensive, covering production and distribution of interactive electronic courses (e-learning courses), learning management and related feedback - all using modern technology. European Union is paying important attention to spreading of e-learning as a modern and effective form of education not only for students of universities and other schools but also for life-long learning for employees in companies and firms. E-learning can be characterized as an educational service accessible through the Internet, their advantage is independent of place and time. Those interested can thus be given self-study in its sole discretion. E-learning courses is appropriate to create and focus for any subject of education. The aim of this paper is to present the innovation process in education and the experiences of the author in the design and operation of the e-learning course in the subject Computer Law at the Faculty of Economic Informatics, The University of Economics in Bratislava in Slovakia. The course is in the environment Learning Management System (LMS) MOODLE, which belongs to open source software with user-friendly environment. MOODLE is rather simple and purposeful tool to help teacher to create learning materials and it is the main platform for creation e-learning courses on the University of Economics in Bratislava. Based on the responses of students can see a positive attitude towards the introduction of modern technologies and approaches to learning.
