Abstract

This educational path starts from a careful analysis about effectiveness of distance learning so that can really represent an opportunity to educate and work in an innovative, creative, flexible, inclusive way for learning successes, maintaining the relationship with the students always alive.

Were created and realized wide interactive digital botanical educational activities for High School students with the IBSE research methodology. In the different teaching activities all student were always directly involved with high interest in "making, producing and documenting actions", publishing the works realized on the dedicated educational IT platform. The didactic itinerary has developed elements of evolutionary and systematic botany to move on remote microscope botany: microscopic observations and descriptions in distance learning of botanical sections of gimnosperm and angiosperm plants also to understand the biological role of plants in ecosystems. With microscope learning by doing strategy in distance work were analyzed by students different microscope photos of interactive Botanical University Atlas, realized digital drawings of the observed structures writing reports of careful observations of the images. The fundamental nuclei of this botanical path were presented also with international scientific videoconferences to guide students in preparing a "Digital Botanic Glossary", publishing on the personal IT page some botanical questions of each students about key concepts of botany for peer to peer remote debate. The students have furthemore the possibility to see different great videos about historical and botanical aspects of Italian and International Botanic Parks to identify, for each garden, the species studied in the didactic path, the most interesting or curious, to express a written analytical judgment of preference about botanical gardens for possible real visit. These remote teaching and learning works beginning by innovative didactic researches with the perspective to implement with innovative blended learning activities about Botanical Sciences for international teacher training.
