Garry is Professor in Digital Learning in the School of Curriculum and Pedagogy at the University of Waikato in New Zealand. He is involved in post-graduate teaching, supervision, and research in eLearning, and is principal investigator for a government-funded Teaching and Learning Research Initiative project, Exploring student thinking and problem solving in iPad-supported learning environments. He is also leader of the Unlocking Curious Minds ROBOSHOPS project, which delivers a series of coding and robotics workshops to primary schools in the Waikato region. Garry is a member of the editorial and review boards for several international journals, is serving government committees and panels guiding the implementation of digital technologies in schools, and is an appointee to the Prime Minister’s Expert Panel for the National Education Awards.
