Bidyut Jyoti Baruah is an Associate Lecturer in the University of York, Department of Electronics. He is a member of the Engineering Education and Management Research Group and delivers lectures in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Intrapreneurship, Entrepreneurship Education, Engineering Ethics, Research Methods, Leadership and Innovation Management. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Bidyut graduated with a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (Itanagar, India) in 2010. He later completed an MSc with Distinction in Engineering Management in 2011 and a PhD in Intrapreneurship and Organization Management in 2016, both from the University of York. His PhD topic investigated the roles Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) play in the Innovation Management within an Organization.
He has published several journal articles and conference papers on the research areas of Intrapreneurship, Leadership, Top Management Team, Job Skills and Entrepreneurship Education. He regularly reviews articles in several International journals and is currently involved in research projects on Job Skills analysis, Ethics Education and Curriculum Design at York.
