Timm Wilke, born in 1988, studied chemistry and French at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen from 2007 to 2012. He received his doctorate in 2017 in the Department of Chemistry Education, with guest stays in Florida/USA and at the IPN Kiel/Germany. In 2016 he was appointed assistant professor for Chemistry Didactics at Braunschweig University/Germany and in 2019 additionally guest professor at the University of Graz/Austria. Since 2020 he is full professor and head of the Chair of Chemistry Education at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. His research interests are in particular the didactic reconstruction of current research topics and the development of digital tools and teaching/learning concepts for school chemistry education.
